I love dip. Probably a lot more than I should. I stumbled upon a few recipes talking about pizza dip, and thought it was a fantastic idea. However, I found a lot of them lacked exactly the spice that I wanted, so my friend and I came up with our own version.

I love this recipe because it doesn't take a lot of time to prepare, and takes even less time to cook. Which is a plus in my book. You can serve it with chips, crackers, or my favorite: sliced french bread.

Pizza Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup pizza sauce

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp basil

  • 1/2 tsp Italian spices

  • 1/2 tsp parsley

  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Sliced black olives

  • Pepperoni slices

Instructions

  • Spray a microwave safe dish with non-stick spray.

  • In a separate bowl, soften cream cheese by microwaving it for 30-45 seconds (or leave it out to soften for a bit beforehand).

  • Mix spices into cream cheese.

  • In a shallow microwave-safe dish, spread cream cheese mixture evenly at the bottom.

  • Sprinkle 1/2 of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top of the cream cheese.

  • Pour the pizza sauce on top of mixture

  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese

  • Top with desired amount of black olives and pepperoni

  • Cook in the microwave for about 3-minutes until cheese becomes melted.

Enjoy!
